Job Details

Summary: The Clinical Specialist will collaborate with the Regional Sales Director and Territory Manager within a defined geographic area to engage with existing and potential clients (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals). The goal is to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care, and to demonstrate how company products can help meet these needs. By providing case coverage, the Clinical Specialist contributes to achieving sales goals, company objectives, and increasing revenue.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the Territory Manager to ensure good case coverage and positive clinical outcomes for patients.
  2. Serve as the primary resource for clinical support, including coverage, troubleshooting, and in-service education for company products.
  3. Educate customers on the benefits and proper clinical usage of company products.
  4. Inform customers about the latest product, therapy, and technology developments through active engagement in procedural and technical discussions.
  5. Link clinical data to key messaging effectively.
  6. Meet with existing and potential customers to understand their clinical needs and provide creative solutions using company products.
  7. Transfer account knowledge and other requested information to the local Territory Manager weekly.
  8. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a strong clinical orientation, with the ability to influence diverse clinician, nurse, and lab tech personalities.
Qualifications:
  1. Ability to maintain good working relationships while handling sensitive and confidential matters.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in business communication and grammar.
  3. Attention to detail for record-keeping and report processing; knowledge of MS Office.
  4. Thorough knowledge of the medical device market, products, and customer base in the territory.
  5. Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
Education and Experience:
  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred; medical training (RN, cath lab technician, etc.) preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5+ years of related experience; experience in the medical industry preferred.
  3. Strong clinical orientation, with experience in interventional cardiology and/or cardiac surgery preferred.
Skills:
  1. Strong work ethic and a sense of urgency to meet objectives.
  2. Ability to establish credibility and deliver our message effectively to clinical staff, administrators, and physicians.
  3. Emotional intelligence for effective schedule management.
  4. Previous industry experience in the cardiovascular space, calling on interventional cardiologists, vascular surgeons, radiologists, and clinical staff.
  5. Experience with vessel closure and clinical education/training is preferred.
  6. Values teamwork and collaboration with internal teams and customers.
Physical Demands:

Ability to stand for long hours wearing heavy Cath Lab protective clothing.

Work Environment:
  1. Travel may be required.
  2. Hospital, Cath Lab, and physician offices.

The salary range for this role is: $66,060.29 - $109,051.90 annually.
