Duties and Responsibilities

The Cardiac Cath Lab RN performs angioplasties, pacemaker implants, and diagnoses cardiac conditions through invasive catheterization procedures. Responsibilities include:

• Providing care for heart disease and heart attack patients, including diagnostic procedures of the coronary arteries.
• Identifying blockages, assisting physicians during procedures, and monitoring patient status.
• Administering interventional procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, among others.
