Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx seeks a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join a diverse CRNA team. You will provide General and Regional anesthesia under the supervision of an attending anesthesiologist and contribute to clinical education while delivering outstanding patient care across multiple sites.

Required credentials include DNP or DNAP from a COA-accredited program and NBCRNA certification with biannual renewals; BLS/ACLS are also required.

Qualifications

• DNP or DNAP degree from a COA-accredited program.
• NBCRNA certification required with biannual recertification.
• BLS and ACLS certifications renewed biannually.

Responsibilities

• Provide General and Regional Anesthesia to patients under attending supervision.
• Contribute to clinical education and maintain high-quality patient care across sites.

Overview

For positions that have only a rate listed, the displayed rate is the hiring rate but could be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors.

Associates are eligible to apply for a transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Probationary period is four (4) months for full-time employees, and six (6) months for part-time employees.

Administers anesthesia to patients and monitors their condition during and after anesthesia. Assists with the set-up of anesthesia equipment.

Requirements

• Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or a Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP)degree from an accredited Program on Nurse Anesthesia, as recognized by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA).
• Certification by the National Board of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) - certification required biannually.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certifications - certification biannually.
