Transitions Hospice in Springfield, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the after-hours night shift. As a Night Nurse, you will provide overnight nursing assessments, treatments, and compassionate care within an interdisciplinary team to support patients and families in Sangamon and surrounding areas.

You will administer meds, document care, communicate changes to physicians, and coordinate with community partners to ensure continuity of care across Sangamon and surrounding areas.

Competenze

• Active RN license in the state of employment
• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Clinical experience in hospice, home health, or related setting preferred
• Comfort and composure working independently during overnight hours
• Strong assessment skills and sound clinical judgment in high-pressure moments
• A calm, reassuring presence for patients and families during nighttime distress
• Excellent documentation habits and communication skills
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 / year

Schedule: 4 - 10 hour shifts a week w/rotating weekends

What You'll Do

As a Transitions Hospice Night Nurse, you'll serve as a critical support member of the interdisciplinary care team during overnight hours — assessing, treating, and communicating patient needs with clinical confidence and genuine compassion. Your responsibilities include:
