Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the VA REACH team in Staunton, VA, to support adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental health needs in a Crisis Therapeutic Home. The role focuses on providing skilled nursing care within a warm, home-like setting.

Responsibilities include medication administration, nursing assessments, health education, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• Current valid, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Virginia (required).
• Crisis prevention/intervention experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and access to transportation.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivatedRegistered Nurse to join our Virginia REACH team in supporting adults with I/DD and mental health needs at our warm, home-like Crisis Therapeutic Home (CTH) in Staunton, VA.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 7am - 3:00pm OR 3:00pm - 11:00pm

Your Role in Our Mission

• Make a real difference by providing compassionate nursing care to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs in our Crisis Therapeutic Home
• Administer medications, perform nursing assessments, and ensure each individual receives the highest standard of care
• Educate and empower individuals regarding their physical and mental health
• Collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary team to create personalized care and treatment plans
• Ensure safety and compliance by maintaining accurate documentation and following all clinical standards
• Play an essential role in promoting stability, recovery, and hope for those we serve
• Provide guidance to Behavior Techs and LPNs as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Licensure: Current valid, unrestricted licensed as a Registered Nurse in state of Virginia
• Knowledge: MH and I/DD systems of care preferred
• Experience: Crisis prevention and intervention services preferred
• Transportation: A valid driver's license and car insurance for occasional transportation to appointments
