Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Staunton, VA is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to support adults with I/DD and behavioral health needs in a Crisis Therapeutic Home. The role involves administering medications, nursing assessments, and coordinating care within an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current valid, unrestricted RN license in Virginia.
• Experience in crisis prevention and intervention is preferred.
• Knowledge of MH and I/DD care systems is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and car insurance for occasional transportation.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform nursing assessments.
• Educate and empower individuals regarding their health.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create personalized care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure safety and clinical standards.
• Guide Behavior Techs and LPNs as needed.
• Support stability, recovery, and hope for those served.

Are you an RN with a heart for crisis care? At Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), our mission is rooted in empowering individuals and strengthening communities. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Virginia REACH team in supporting adults with I/DD and mental health needs at our warm, home-like Crisis Therapeutic Home (CTH) in Staunton, VA.

Schedule

Monday – Friday 7am – 3:00pm OR 3:00pm – 11:00pm

Your Role in Our Mission

• Make a real difference by providing compassionate nursing care to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs in our Crisis Therapeutic Home
• Administer medications, perform nursing assessments, and ensure each individual receives the highest standard of care
• Educate and empower individuals regarding their physical and mental health
• Collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary team to create personalized care and treatment plans
• Ensure safety and compliance by maintaining accurate documentation and following all clinical standards
• Play an essential role in promoting stability, recovery, and hope for those we serve
• Provide guidance to Behavior Techs and LPNs as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Licensure: Current valid, unrestricted licensed as a Registered Nurse in state of Virginia
