Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for part-time daytime coverage (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM) on the Acute Rehab unit. The role requires current RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS (preferred).

You will deliver safe patient care, lead patient/family teaching, and coordinate with physicians. Responsibilities include direct nursing care, adherence to the nursing process, and supervising other nurses while maintaining high standards on the Medical/Surgical

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate on hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate preferred 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Department: Acute Rehab

Schedule: Days, 7a-7:30p, part-time, rotating weekends and holidays, self-scheduling

Facility: Prime Healthcare Saint Joseph Medical Center

Location: Joliet, IL 60435

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

• 1. Current and valid state RN License.
• 2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• 4. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
