Job summary

Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Medical–Surgical unit. The RN will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process, perform assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation, and teach patients and families while coordinating with the medical team.

The position is full-time days with 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends and holidays. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates and compensation ranges from $35.35 to $53.58

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained (preferred).
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in the patient’s condition and test results.
