Job summary

Kindred Hospital Melbourne and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) in Melbourne, Florida, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. Qualifications

• Postsecondary certificate, diploma, or program graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• RN licensure in the state where practice and BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains nursing care standard and follows hospital policies and procedures.
• Directs and evaluates nursing care for patients.
• Documents admissions, care plans, and assessments in medical records.
• Administers medications with the five rights and ensures patient safety.
• Participates in discharge planning and communicates with care team and physicians.
• Assists physicians with examinations and procedures within scope of practice.
