Job summary

Kindred Hospital Melbourne is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care within the Acute Rehabilitation Unit and hospital. You will apply the nursing process, collaborate with physicians and the care team, and participate in discharge planning to ensure safe transitions and high-quality outcomes for each patient.

The role requires an RN license upon hire, at least six months of Medical/Surgical experience, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required upon hire.
• Six months of Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• BCLS required upon hire; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to plan and prioritize under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process.
• Develop and update patient care plans in coordination with the team.
• Administer medications following five rights and safety standards.
• Communicate patient condition changes to physicians and staff.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education.
• Direct and supervise nursing care for patients.
