Job summary

The MetroHealth System in Cleveland is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 3E Oncology unit at MetroHealth Main Campus (Glick).

Responsibilities include IV therapy, blood transfusion, pain management, and coordination with LPNs and PCNAs on a 30-bed unit. Opportunities exist to obtain Chemotherapy Certification; rotating shifts 7a-7p/7p-7a with rotating weekends and holidays; sign-on bonus up to 10,000 for qualified experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Ohio.
• Current BLS for healthcare provider or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.
• PRN must possess required certifications upon hire.
• Preferred: BSN and Magnet-certified

Join our Acute Care Adult Medical Oncology Unit (3 East)!

Primary Patient Population:

• Inpatient Oncology (16 dedicated patient beds)
• Cross-trained for Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)
• Medical/Surgical Overflow

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• IV medication therapy, blood product transfusion, pain management
• Hospice and palliative care
• Ability to obtain Chemotherapy Certification
• Time management, critical thinking, delegating

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers

Number of beds on unit:

• 30 beds

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire
