Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking an Acute Care Adult Medical Oncology Unit (3 East) RN at our MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick location in Cleveland, OH. You will care for inpatient oncology patients across 30 beds, with IV therapy, transfusions, and pain management.

Rotating shifts and holidays are required; sign-on up to $10,000 for qualifying experience. Requirements include Ohio RN licensure, AHA BLS, and 1 year RN experience for PRN roles; BSN is preferred and chemotherapy certification may

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population

• Inpatient Oncology (16 dedicated patient beds)
• Cross‑trained for Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)
• Medical/Surgical Overflow

Primary Skills Utilized/learned

• IV medication therapy, blood product transfusion, pain management
• Hospice and palliative care
• Ability to obtain Chemotherapy Certification
• Time management, critical thinking, delegating

Personnel RN Will Work With

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers
