Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 3 East Medicine Team in Northeast Ohio. The unit operates with a 7a-7p and 7p-7a shift schedule, including rotating weekends and holidays, totaling bi-weekly hours of 72.

You will perform clinical assessment, medication management, IV therapy, patient monitoring, and care coordination. You will collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, providers, PT/OT in a 26+ bed unit with Daisy Award recognition.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Clinical assessment and critical thinking to evaluate patient status.
• Medication management and administration.
• Care for common medical conditions (diabetes, heart failure, COPD/asthma, pneumonia, kidney disease, electrolyte imbalances, GI disorders, hypertension, infections).
• IV therapy and procedures.
• Patient monitoring and timely reporting to care team.
• Care coordination with LPNs, PCNAs, providers, PT/OT.
