MetroHealth Medicine on 3 East is hiring a Registered Nurse for inpatient care in a fast-paced environment. You will perform clinical assessments, administer medications, and coordinate care across providers, PCNAs, and nursing staff.

The role emphasizes IV therapy, patient monitoring, and strong communication. Ohio RN licensure and BLS are required; BSN and Magnet-certified experience are preferred. Sign-on incentive available for qualifying experience.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA BLS for healthcare providers or within 90 days of hire.
• BSN preferred; Magnet-recognized certification preferred.

• Provide inpatient nursing care on 3 East Medicine Team.
• Perform comprehensive clinical assessments and make critical decisions.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Perform IV therapy and related procedures.
• Monitor patient status and coordinate care with the team.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
• Demonstrate time management and organization in a fast-paced unit.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72

Shift: 7a-7p & 7p-7a Rotating Weekends & Holidays

***Up to $10,000 sign on bonus for RNs with qualifying experience***

Primary Patient Population:

• Inpatient Medicine

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• Clinical Assessment & Critical Thinking


• Medication Management


• Care of Common Medical Conditions (Diabetes, Heart Failure, COPD & asthma exacerbation, pneumonia, kidney disease, electrolyte imbalances, GI disorders, Hypertension, Infectious disease, Liver Disease).


• IV Therapy & Procedures


• Patient Monitoring


• Care Coordination


• Time Management & Organization


• Communication & Professional Development

RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT

Number of beds on unit:

• 26 (Unit shares space with the oncology team)


• 14 Medicine Beds


• 12 Oncology Beds

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).


• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio


• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
