MetroHealth is seeking an experienced RN to join the 3 East Medicine Team on rotating 7a-7p and 7p-7a shifts. You will care for an inpatient medicine population on a 26+ bed unit, collaborating with LPNs, PCNAs, clinicians and physicians to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.

The role requires Ohio RN licensure, BLS, and strong clinical skills in assessment, IV therapy, medication management, and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsabilités

• Clinical assessment and critical thinking in inpatient care.
• Medication management and IV therapy.
• Care for medical conditions (diabetes, heart failure, COPD, etc.).
• Patient monitoring and documentation.
• Care coordination with LPNs, PCNAs, and providers.
• Time management and organization in a fast-paced unit.
• Clear communication and professional development.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72

Shift: 7a-7p & 7p-7a Rotating Weekends & Holidays

***Up to $10,000 sign on bonus for RNs with qualifying experience***

Primary Patient Population:

• Inpatient Medicine

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• Clinical Assessment & Critical Thinking


• Medication Management


• Care of Common Medical Conditions (Diabetes, Heart Failure, COPD & asthma exacerbation, pneumonia, kidney disease, electrolyte imbalances, GI disorders, Hypertension, Infectious disease, Liver Disease).


• IV Therapy & Procedures


• Patient Monitoring


• Care Coordination


• Time Management & Organization


• Communication & Professional Development

RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT

Number of beds on unit:

• 26 (Unit shares space with the oncology team)


• 14 Medicine Beds


• 12 Oncology Beds

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).


• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio


• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

• BSN


• Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
