Job summary

Premise Health in Reading, PA is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse to provide on-site care for client employees in our Health Center. You’ll assess needs, perform nursing evaluations, and administer care within your scope of practice, collaborating with physicians as needed.

This role requires RN licensure, BLS, and at least three years of ER or occupational health experience; BSN preferred. Premise Health offers comprehensive benefits and a schedule Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice required.
• BLS with hands-on training; ACLS may be required depending on contract scope.
• COHN/COHN-S certification preferred.
• Minimum three years RN experience in ER or occupational health/ambulatory care.
• BSN preferred; ASN required for some sites.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and perform nursing evaluations.
• Collaborate with physicians for further care as needed.
• Perform and document tests and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Administer medications and emergency care within scope.
• Maintain equipment, keep environment clean and infection control compliant.
• Maintain patient health records with accuracy and timeliness.
• Educate patients on health promotion and follow-up care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Registered Nurse, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Reading, PA.

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
