Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health in High Point, NC. The role focuses on nursing care for client employees in our Health Center, with a Wednesday–Friday 5:00 PM–5:00 AM schedule and three 12-hour shifts, offering four days off weekly.

Responsibilities include assessments, collaborations with physicians, diagnostic testing, medication administration, and health promotion education.

Qualifications

• RN license required in state of practice
• Nursing certificate or ADN required; BSN preferred
• BLS/ACLS or equivalent required; COHN/COHN-S preferred may be required depending on site contract

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and perform nursing evaluations within scope of practice
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare practitioners for further evaluation
• Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments (e.g., EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administer medications and emergency care within legal scope
• Maintain medical equipment and infection control procedures
• Maintain patient health records and ensure accuracy
• Educate patients on health promotion and follow-up care
• Perform other duties as assigned

As aFull Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health,you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in High Point, NC.
The scheduled hours are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 5:00p - 5:00a

• Three 12-Hour Shifts: Enjoy a consistent Wednesday-Friday, 5:00 PM-5:00 AM schedule with four days off each week.
• Practice with Independence: Use your nursing expertise to make clinical decisions, respond to workplace injuries and illnesses, and provide care with a high level of autonomy.
• More Than Bedside Nursing: Build expertise across occupational health, emergency response, work-related injuries, OSHA programs, and employee wellness while making a direct impact on the workforce you serve.

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
