The GEO Group, Inc. is hiring a Registered Nurse for a correctional facility in the United States. The RN will perform comprehensive nursing care, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians in a secure environment.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license, have at least an associate or bachelor's in nursing, and preferably 2 years of direct RN experience. The role requires independence and computer proficiency within EMR systems.

Qualifications

• RN degree from an accredited program and active licensure in the state.
• Two years of RN experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and handle clinical duties with minimal supervision.
• Competence in crisis intervention and medical/psychiatric nursing care.
• Proficiency with computers and clinical software.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete physical assessments and medical histories for detainees.
• Assist physicians with sick calls and minor procedures.
• Administer medications per orders and monitor for adverse effects.
• Maintain medical records and progress notes.
• Coordinate Chronic Disease Clinic scheduling and document encounters.
• Supervise LPN staff and contribute to evaluations.
• Ensure security considerations in clinical care remain separate.
