Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree from an approved program; RN license in the state of the facility.
• Two (2) years of direct work experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage nursing tasks in a correctional setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete physical assessments and medical histories for detainees entering the system.
• Assist the physician with sick calls and minor procedures.
• Ensure implementation of physician orders and administer medications as prescribed.
• Maintain security while administering medications and document progress notes.
• Coordinate Chronic Disease Clinic scheduling and supervise LPN staff.
