Job summary

Premise Health Inc. in Windsor Locks, CT, is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, employee-focused care at our on-site Health Center.

The role emphasizes building relationships, promoting wellness, and providing personalized care in a workplace health setting, with a consistent Tue/Wed/Fri schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. You will perform clinical duties, maintain records, educate patients, and collaborate with a team to promote safety and return-to-work programs.

Qualifications

  • Must hold RN licensure in state of practice.
  • Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Certification in BLS/CPR required; OH cert preferred.
  • Minimum three years in an occupational health setting.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure regulatory compliance for clinical operations.
  • Evaluate and treat patients within scope of practice.
  • Coordinate case management with TPA and client.
  • Perform medical tests and administer medications per protocol.
  • Maintain infection control and a clean, safe environment.
  • Document health records and promote health education.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams on wellness programs.

As a Part-Time Registered Nurse, you'll provide high-quality, employee-focused care to client employees at our Health Center in Windsor Locks, CT. This is a great opportunity for an experienced RN who enjoys building relationships, promoting wellness, and providing personalized care in a workplace health setting. The position offers a consistent part-time schedule of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with no nights or weekends.

What You'll Do
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
  • Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice
  • Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client
  • Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers
  • Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
  • Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
  • Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
  • Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
  • Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
  • Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
  • Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
  • Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
  • Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
  • Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
  • Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
  • At least three years' experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic
  • Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including: partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work exams

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $38.40 - $48.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
