Job summary

Summit Health and Living in Summitville, Indiana, is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our long-term care team. You will provide direct nursing care to residents, lead the nursing team on your shift, and coordinate with physicians to ensure quality resident outcomes.

The role requires ADN or BSN, current RN license in Indiana, and BLS/CPR certification. You will participate in care planning, MDS processes, and compliance with state/federal standards while delivering

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice (Indiana).
• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Long-term care or geriatric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and respond promptly.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and skilled procedures.
• Supervise and delegate to LPNs and CNAs on your shift.
• Communicate with residents, families, and attending physicians.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Participate in care planning, MDS, and quality improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility standards.
