Job summary

Sterling Healthcare Management is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our long-term care team. You will lead the nursing shift, provide direct care to residents, and collaborate with an engaged team to uphold high standards of care.

Responsibilities include assessing residents, administering medications, and ensuring accurate documentation. Eligible candidates hold an RN license, BSN/ADN, and BLS/CPR, with LTC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Long-term care or geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and respond promptly.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and skilled procedures.
• Supervise and delegate to LPNs and CNAs on your shift.
• Communicate with residents, families, and attending physicians.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Participate in care planning, MDS, and quality improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility standards.
