Job summary

Premise Health in San Antonio, TX, seeks a Registered Nurse for our Centralized Staffing PRN Pool to provide care to employees and dependents at the Health Center.

Availability 3-4 days per week with travel to four local sites; no nights or weekends. RN license in state, BLS; ACLS may be required by contract. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS may be required based on contract scope
• Certification in COHN/COHN-S, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred
• At least three years of RN experience in emergency room, occupational health, or ambulatory care

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope
• Collaborates with physicians and other practitioners for further evaluation and care
• Performs medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined by site contract
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope
• Maintains equipment, ensures a safe environment, and follows infection control
• Maintains accurate patient health records
• Educates patients on health promotion and follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

As a Registered Nurse in our Centralized Staffing PRN Pool, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in San Antonio, TX. Looking for availability 3-4 days per week with the ability to travel to four locations in the San Antonio area. No nights or weekends!

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
