Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Peoria, AZ seeks a Registered Nurse for local full-shift contracts at an acute rehabilitation facility. Night shifts are from 6:00 pm to 6:30 am, offering a dynamic environment focused on patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate holds an active AZ RN license, has hospital experience in acute rehab, and can work flexible hours. Proficiency with electronic charting, BLS, and ACLS preferred, with physicals and screenings up to date.

Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN license.
• Experience as RN in an acute rehabilitation hospital.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights.
• 1 year hospital experience required.
• Efficient with electronic charting systems.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Current TB test within the year.
• Physical examination within 6 months.
• Fingerprint clearance current.

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper resident care in a clean, safe environment.
• Develop and ensure nursing care plan; collaborate with physicians, therapists, and aides.
• Make nursing diagnoses to guide care strategy.
• Collaborate with resident and healthcare team.
• Record medication administration.
• Monitor staff to follow safety regulations and state rules.
• Follow procedures for nursing equipment and supplies.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse include but are not limited to:

• Ensures proper resident care is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
• Develop and ensure the nursing care plan and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing assistants
• Makes nursing diagnoses, which serve as the basis for the strategy of care
• Collaborates with the resident, members of the healthcare team
• Records the administration of medication
• Monitor assigned staff to ensure established safety regulations are followed and that all tasks are performed following all state and government regulations and safety procedures as outlined by the facility
• Follows procedures related to the use of nursing equipment and supplies
• Performs other duties as directed

Qualifications of the Registered Nurse include:

• An active RN license in the state of Arizona.
• Prior experience as an RN in a acute rehabilatation hospital.
• The desire to care for patients in an acute care setting and act with integrity.
• The ability to work flexible hours.
• Must have 1 year hospital experience.
• Must be efficent in electronical charting system.
• BLS(required)/ACLS (preferred)
• Current TB with in a year
• Physical within 6 months
• Finger Print Card clearance (current)
