Job summary

ArchCare in New York is seeking a Registered Nurse for an evening shift (3pm–11:15pm) on a full-time basis. The RN will plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care on a designated unit, administer medications, and coordinate treatments under nursing leadership.

Qualified candidates hold a NY State RN license and an Associate Degree (BSN preferred). Comprehensive benefits include paid time off, 403(b), and pre-tax commuter options.

Qualifications

• Current NY State Registered Nurse License.
• Education: Associate Degree - BSN Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, implements, coordinates, and evaluates nursing care for a specific unit during shift.
• Receives report from previous shift and ensures pertinent information is conveyed for each resident.
• Continuously evaluates resident behavior, symptoms, reactions and progress; discusses findings with Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Administers and documents all medications according to policies and physician orders.
• Performs treatments per physician orders and established procedures.
• Discusses need to discontinue or change medications with Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Orders prescribed medications and notifies pharmacy of changes; ensures accuracy of medications.

Pay Range

$48.2244 - $49.0772 per hour. Plus 10% shift differential.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• A Registered Nurse who, under the direction of the nursing leadership is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care for a specific unit during her/his shift.
• Receives report from previous shift, making sure that he/she has received all pertinent information on each resident.
• Continuously evaluates behavior, symptoms, reactions and progress of residents and discusses findings with Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Administers and documents all medications according to established policies and procedures, physician's orders and Department of Health regulations.
• Performs all treatments according to physician’s specific order and established policies and procedures.
• Discusses the need to discontinue or change a medication of treatment with the Nurse Manager/ Charge Nurse.
• Orders prescribed medications, notifies pharmacy of discontinued medications and ensures accuracy of medications and dosages when received from pharmacy.
