Job summary

ArchCare is seeking a licensed practical nurse for the night shift at our Bronx location. You will administer medications and provide nursing care per the care plan, under the supervision of the Head/Charge Nurse.

Pay Range

$35.8562 per hour. Plus 10% shift differential.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• The LPNis responsible foradministration of all medications and treatments during their shift, according to the established medical and nursing care plan. Works under the direction of the Head/ChargeNurse toprovideoptimumnursing care to all residents on the unit.
• Continuously evaluates behavior,symptoms,reactionsand progress of residents and discusses findings with Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Administers and documents all medications according to established policies and procedures, physician's orders, and Department of Health regulations.
• Performs all treatments according to physician’s specific order and established policies and procedures.
• Discusses the need todiscontinueor change a medication of treatment with the Nurse Manager/ Charge Nurse.
• Orders prescribed medications, notifies pharmacy of discontinued medications: and ensures accuracy of medications and dosages when received from pharmacy.
