Job summary

Stars Behavioral Health Group in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse (Part Time) to join the Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center. The RN will participate in rapid mental health evaluations, crisis intervention, and medication support, with supervision of nursing staff on shift.

The position offers competitive compensation ($41.00 - $45.00 per hour), benefits including employer-paid medical, dental, and vision, and paid CEU opportunities, with career growth and supervision for BBS hours

Qualifications

• Valid California RN license.
• Graduate from an accredited school of registered nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One year experience with seriously emotionally disturbed children, adolescents, and adults in a mental health care setting, preferred.
• One year supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to pass facility Medication Test.
• Current CPR certification.
• First Aid certification.
• Valid California Driver's License.

• Oversee all nursing duties and related nursing activities for clients.
• Supervision of the nursing department staff assigned to their shift.

What You Bring To SBHG (qualifications)

• Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license.

How You Will Make a Difference (job Overview)

The Registered Nurse is the treatment team member who is responsible for overseeing all nursing duties and related nursing activities for clients. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for the supervision of the nursing department staff assigned to their respective shift.

Division/Program Overview

• Facility & Setting: 24/7 walk-in outpatient urgent care
• Clinical Services Rapid mental health evaluations, crisis intervention, and medication support
• Length of Stay: Short-term stabilization (up to 24 hours)
• Population Served: Serves up to 12 adults (18 + ) and 6 adolescents (ages 13-17)
