Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to work at a Correctional Institution in Laurinburg, North Carolina. This is a registry position with our company.

Responsibilities include providing professional nursing care per protocols, conducting sick calls, assisting physicians, carrying out orders, and monitoring for emergencies and communicable diseases. Shifts are 36/48 with 12-hour day schedules.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year (12 months) of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• A valid and current RN license issued by the State of North Carolina.
• A valid and current BLS provider card (American Heart Association).
• Proficiency in the English language for communication with staff and patients.

• Provide professional nursing care/treatment to patients in accordance with medical protocols and NC Board of Nursing scope of practice.
• Conduct sick call/assessment
• Assist the physician
• Carry out orders, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care
• Respond to medical emergencies
• Monitor patients for communicable diseases
• Counsel for compliance with diet, medications, and treatment
• Respond to inquiries, appointments, orders for medications and supplies and additional nursing duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:
