Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, ensure cleanliness, verify equipment functionality.
• Assist preparing the patient for surgery, including identity and site verification, patient positioning, pre-operative procedures.
• Document pertinent information before, during, after the surgical procedure, including vital signs, medications, specimens, and implants.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN License
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate required
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate required
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
