The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within Montana State Hospital - Grasslands.
This position is located in Helena, MT at the Grasslands facility, which is an off-site facility of the Montana State Hospital. It is funded through June 30, 2027. After this date, the position may be funded permanently or may be subject to a reduction in force (RIF).

A Registered Nurse at Montana State Hospital utilizes a "Team Nursing" approach to provide care and support to clients within the framework of a therapeutic environment. This position performs nursing assessment, planning, interventions, and evaluation for adult clients with serious mental illness. Responsibilities include assigning work and providing direction and training to subordinate nursing personnel.

Knowledge of nursing, medications, and treatment planning.
Strong knowledge in patients' rights regarding medical treatment.
Ability to plan and implement appropriate nursing care interventions.
