Job summary

State of Montana's Montana State Hospital – Grasslands location in Helena, MT seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. The LPN will receive and transcribe physician orders, ensure accurate treatment, and perform patient assessments in a collaborative care setting.

This position is located in Helena, MT at the Grasslands facility, which is an off-site facility of the Montana State Hospital. It is funded through June 30, 2027. After this date, the position may be funded permanently or may be subject to a reduction in force (RIF).

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Montana State Hospital – Grasslands.

Montana State Hospital is seeking professional and passionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our team. This full-time position would perform skilled nursing duties and inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults with serious mental illness. These responsibilities would include administering and documenting the administration of medications and medical treatments. Receive and transcribe verbal and written physician’s orders accordingly to ensure accurate treatment to patients and provide patient assessment.
