Emerald Nursing and Rehab Columbus is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our skilled nursing team in Columbus, NE. This role involves high-quality patient care, med administration, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team.

We offer shifts 6a-6p or 6p-6a, with full-time or part-time schedules. A strong clinical background and Nebraska RN licensure are required, along with BLS; ACLS is preferred. Join us to contribute to resident well-being in a post-acute setting.

Formación

• Education: ADN or BSN from an accredited program.
• Nebraska RN license required.
• 2 years in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred; not required.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care, assessments, treatments, and medication administration.
• Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and staff to implement care plans.
• Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team about patient status.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation per policy and regulation.
• Mentor LPNs and CNAs to ensure care protocol adherence.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.
• Respond to medical emergencies with appropriate clinical judgment.
• Participate in weekend, night, and holiday on-call rotations.

Job Summary:We are seeking a registered nurse to provide high-quality patient care, administer medications, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our residents. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, a strong understanding of nursing practices, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatment planning, and administering medications. Monitor and document patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
• Coordination of Care: Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with residents, families, and healthcare team members to address concerns and provide updates on patient status.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Training and Supervision: Mentor and guide nursing staff, including LPNs and CNAs, ensuring adherence to care protocols and facility procedures.
• Compliance: Ensure all nursing practices comply with state and federal regulations, including infection control, safety protocols, and resident rights.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment to stabilize and manage acute situations.
• Participation: Works with other nurses in taking weekend, night, and holiday calls on a rotating basis.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska.
• Experience: 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred, but not required.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
