Job summary

The Clare in Chicago is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse to join our Skilled Nursing Care Unit in a luxury continuing care retirement community.

You will provide direct resident care, supervise CNAs, manage admissions/transfers/discharges, administer medications and chart accurately, respond to crises, and uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license valid in Illinois.
• CPR certified.
• Greater than 2 years clinical experience preferred.
• One-year long term care preferred.
• Weekend availability REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care to residents and supervises CNAs to ensure high quality care.
• Responsible for admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents.
• Administers medications and treatments and maintains proper charting in accordance with standards and policies.
• Maintains a high standard of resident care.
• Responds immediately to crises and calls for assistance.
• Supports the facility’s nursing philosophy through quality nursing care.

Job description

Salary: $42.00-$43.00 per hour, plus overnight shift differential

Overnight RN: Block Schedule: 6:30pm to 7am, 3 days per week, rotating weekend schedule

Day Shift RN: 6:30am to 7:00pm, 3 days per week, rotating weekend schedule

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of an RN:

• Provides direct nursing care to the residents and supervises and coordinates the activities performed by the CNAs in order to ensure a high degree of quality care is maintained.


• Responsible for admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents.


• Administers medications and treatments and maintains proper charting for the unit all in accordance with federal, state and local standards and regulations and department policies and procedures.


• Maintains a high standard of resident care.


• Responds immediately to all crisis and/or calls for assistance.


• Assists in maintaining the facility’s and Nursing Service’s philosophy through quality nursing care.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• Current nursing license valid in Illinois
