Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Telemetry unit in Chicago, IL. You will provide direct, patient-centered care to cardiac telemetry patients, performing continuous rhythm interpretation and ongoing monitoring.

You will develop individualized care plans, document patient status, and respond to clinical changes while coordinating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Illinois or eligible.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to telemetry patients including continuous cardiac monitoring.

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Deliver direct, patient-centered nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients, including continuous cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor and document patient condition, and respond proactively to clinical changes.
• Coordinate care across physicians, cardiac specialists, and interdisciplinary teams while supporting safe, efficient discharge planning.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
