Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completing one (1) year of service in their current position, with exceptions: an Associate with a written warning is not eligible for transfer/promotion until six (6) months from the warning date; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible until one (1) year after suspension. Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period may move to full-time vacancies within their department, provided such movement does not unreasonably reduce operational efficiency. Probationary periods are three (3) months for full-time employees and four (4) months for part-time employees working more than 3/5 of the normal workweek. Shift changes are not subject to probationary periods.
Overview:
The responsibilities of the nuclear medicine technologist include providing empathetic and instructional patient care, preparing, calibrating, and administering radiopharmaceuticals (under the supervision of an authorized user), performing quality control procedures, and operating imaging, laboratory, and computer equipment. This position also oversees patient scheduling and assigns duties to technologists in the absence of the supervisor.
