Job description

This vacancy will be posted on the internal Career Website for 5 business days.

Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completing one (1) year of service in their current position, with the following exceptions: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for transfer or promotion until six (6) months from the date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer or promotion until one (1) year from the date of suspension. Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department, provided such movement does not unreasonably reduce operational efficiency. The probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees and four (4) months for part-time employees working more than 3/5 of the normal workweek.

The responsibilities of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist include an empathetic and instructional approach to patient care, preparation, calibration, and administration of radiopharmaceuticals and pharmaceuticals (under the direction of an authorized user), performing quality control procedures, and operating imaging, laboratory, and computer instrumentation.

The home office location is: New Rochelle Cardiology, 20 Cedar Street, New Rochelle, NY 10801.

Must be willing to cover various sites when required. Locations include:

  • 2711 Henry Hudson Parkway, Bronx, NY 10463
  • 1578 Williams Bridge Road, Bronx, NY 10461
  • 4256 Bronx Blvd, Bronx, NY 10466

Must hold the following qualifications:

  1. New York State License in Nuclear Medicine Technology
  2. Associates degree from a formal education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee of education programs in nuclear medicine technology
  3. Experience with cardiac nuclear stress testing required
  4. CNMT and/or ARRT certification
  5. BLS certification
  6. ALS certification
