Qualifications

• Certified Resident Care Associate required.
• Maintain certification with state CE credits.
• Knowledge of safe medication administration techniques.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Understand and practice resident confidentiality.
• Ability to work weekends and flexible hours.
• Demonstrate compassion for residents and families.
• Proficient with basic office equipment and computer use.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring and safe delivery of the Medication Management Program.
• Adheres to policies and state standards when administering medications.
• Administers and records medication administration for residents as prescribed.
• Presents medications and observes ingestion or other administration techniques.
• Documents input, observations, and any adverse effects; consults with the Resident Care Director as needed.
• Maintains accurate medication records and accountability.
• Maintains infection control practices and uses universal precautions.
• Communicates with residents and staff clearly and professionally.
• Provides support and positive interaction with residents and families.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
