Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Kilmarnock, VA is seeking an experienced Registered Medication Associate (RMA). This role ensures high-quality care by assisting with medication administration, observing residents, and documenting medications accurately, in line with state licensing and company standards.

The RMA is a Culture Ambassador who upholds core values and collaborates with the Resident Care Director to maintain resident safety and well-being. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must have certification as a Resident Care Associate.
• Continuing education credits to maintain RMA certification.
• Knowledge of safe medication administration techniques.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Must work weekends and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring and safe delivery of the Medication Management Program.
• Administers and accurately records the administration of medications for residents as prescribed by the physician.
• Presents medication to residents and observes ingestion or other administration techniques.
• Observes, records, and reports adverse actions or side effects of medications and communicates with the Resident Care Director.
• Maintains proper documentation in resident records and daily shift logs.
