Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or externship completed
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with clinical procedures such as taking vital signs, wound care, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, EKGs and splints
• Prepare and clean exam rooms for patient visits and procedures
• Manage patient intake, document medical information, and report test results
• Coordinate referrals, schedule appointments, verify insurance eligibility, and handle clinic communications
• Maintain organized workload and provide courteous, efficient service to patients and staff
• Monitor clinic supplies and equipment; ensure inventory and functionality
• Educate patients on medications and health-related topics; address questions
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies
