Laredo Physician Associates in Zapata, TX is seeking a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to support clinical and administrative functions in a busy walk-in clinic. You will assist with procedures, manage patient intake, and help maintain efficient exam rooms and records.

Ideal candidates have 0–1 years experience or externship completion, with RMA and BCLS certifications. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and licensure support in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical practice is preferred or completion of externship.
• RMA certification required; BCLS required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and infection control practices.

Responsabilités

• Assist providers with clinical procedures including vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, EKGs and wound care.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms; ensure readiness for patient visits.
• Handle patient intake, triage calls and document medical information.
• Process registrations, coordinate referrals and verify insurance eligibility.
• Maintain inventory and ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Educate patients on medications and health topics.
