Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to support primary care providers with patient care, exam room setup, and efficient clinical operations. The role requires 0-1 years of experience or externship, Certification as RMA and BCLS, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency with medical record systems, MS Office and Google Suite.

Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or externship completed.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques.
  • Proficiency with medical record systems and basic computer applications (MS Office, Google Suite).
  • Understanding of medical terminology and infection control.
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide age-appropriate patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with clinical procedures (vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, EKGs).
  • Prepares and cleans exam rooms for patient visits and clinical procedures.
  • Performs patient intake duties including test results and triage.
  • Maintains daily logs and documentation.
  • Supports administrative duties (scheduling, referrals, insurance verification).
  • Maintains an organized workload and professional patient service.
  • Monitors supplies and equipment.
  • Educates patients on medications and health topics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains regular attendance and compliance with policies.
