Job summary

Hancock Health is seeking an EEG Technologist for the Sleep & Neurodiagnostic Center in Indiana to perform routine and long‑term EEG studies, including LTM monitoring. You will apply electrodes, acquire data, ensure signal quality, and document events for physician interpretation.

Strong patient communication and clinical collaboration are essential. The role requires EEG credentialing or progression toward ABRET certification, with emphasis on patient safety, careful technique, and coordination

Qualifications

  • Must have EEG credentialing or be willing to obtain ABRET credentialing.
  • High School education required; an Associates degree is preferred.
  • Two years’ experience in EEG or neurodiagnostic care preferred.
  • Strong understanding of EEG procedures and patient safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Verify the insurance requirements, medical order, and protocol.
  • Explain the procedure and orient the patient to the Sleep & Neurodiagnostic Center.
  • Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and adjust if necessary.
  • Apply electrodes and sensors according to published standards.
  • Perform EEG data acquisition while monitoring study quality and adjusting as needed.
  • Document routine observations to facilitate scoring and interpretation.
  • Maintain electrode impedance and ensure recording quality throughout multi‑day studies.
  • Communicate urgent observations to the physician and participate in on‑call coverage.
