Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Neurodiagnostic/Polysomnographic Technician to record EEG data for routine, sleep, and specialized procedures. Responsibilities include telemetry-based monitoring of long-term patients and intraoperative electrode placement as needed.

Candidates typically hold a high school diploma or GED with technical training in EEG/Polysomnography and 0–1 years of related experience; AMA-accredited programs are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Vocational or Technical training in Neurodiagnostic or Polysomnographic technology preferred.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Records physiological data from patients having routine, sleep, and special EEG procedures.
• Records physiological data from in/out patients having Long Term Monitoring (Telemetry).
• Applies electrodes to patients and removes electrodes at the end of surgery.
• Performs intraoperative procedures in the operating room as needed.
• Monitors data from patients having electrocorticography and WADA.
• Provides first aid for convulsions or other problems and maintains equipment cleanliness.
