Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an experienced Registered ECHO Tech to provide specialized cardiovascular care. You will perform and review baseline patient assessments and evaluate responses to diagnostic cardiac procedures with an emphasis on safety and comfort.

You will operate and maintain diagnostic equipment, monitor patient responses, and adapt your approach to patient understanding. The role requires RDCS/RCS certification and BLS, with preferred cardio ultrasound experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS through the American Heart Association.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
• Preferred: Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Ultrasound, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy or Nursing or accredited program in cardiac ultrasound.
• One year of cardiac ultrasound experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate echocardiograms as ordered by physician.
• Performs tests using computer-assisted devices including TEE and stress echocardiography.
• Notices abnormal results and informs the health care team for patient safety.
• Maintains skill level via CQI, inservices, and ongoing education.
• Troubleshoots recording equipment and handles patient comfort during testing.
• Adapts approach to patient/family understanding of procedures.

Education

Associate's Degree or higher in Cardiovascular Technology / Ultrasound / Radiologic Technology / Respiratory Therapy / Nursing or accredited cardiac ultrasound program
