Job summary

Spring River Rehabilitation & Care Center in Roswell, NM is seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) to oversee nutritional care for residents in a skilled nursing setting. You will conduct nutrition assessments, develop individualized care plans, and monitor weight and status.

Collaborating with Nursing, Providers, dietary staff, and IDT, you will ensure CMS compliance, support meal and therapeutic diet accuracy, and participate in care conferences and QAPI initiatives to improve resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential is required.
• Licensed in the State of New Mexico (or eligible).
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
• Strong understanding of CMS regulations and nutrition support for the elderly.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete nutrition assessments for residents.
• Develop and update individualized nutrition care plans.
• Monitor weight trends, intake, and nutritional status.
• Provide recommendations for weight management, wound healing, malnutrition, and specialized diets.
• Collaborate with Nursing, Providers, Dietary staff and IDT.
• Participate in care conferences, QAPI initiatives and survey readiness.
• Ensure CMS/state regulations and facility policies are followed.
• Review and support menu compliance and therapeutic diet accuracy.
