Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Registered Dietitian to oversee patient meal services at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, CO. The role collaborates with nursing to educate patients and ensure therapeutic diets are followed, while maintaining safety and quality.

40 hours per week in a full-time hospital setting with a focus on cost-effective, value-based service and unified clinical practices. Compensation is listed hourly, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management.
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (required only in the states of Utah and Idaho).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of patient meal services.
• Partners with nursing to meet patients’ needs by education and ensuring guidelines are followed.
• Leads patient meal areas and trains in therapeutic diets per provider orders.
• Implements clinical best practices to deliver care at appropriate cost.
• Maintains food safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitors quality and satisfaction scores and drives improvements.
