Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management; Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work (Utah/Idaho only).
• ServSafe certification within 90 days if not current.
• Experience leading and managing a diverse team; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of patient meal services.
• Partners with nursing to educate and ensure dietary guidelines are followed.
• Leads patient meal areas and trains in therapeutic diets.
• Implements clinical best practices to deliver care cost-effectively.
• Provides value-based leadership to build high-functioning teams.
• Manages HR functions: hiring, training, mentoring, performance and discipline.
• Ensures food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Monitors quality and patient satisfaction scores.
• Collaborates with clinical team on diet orders and concerns.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management

Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration

Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification

Demonstrated leadership and team management

Verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills

Experience with quality improvement initiatives
