Job summary

MedStar Health in partnership with CoreLife is seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) in Salisbury, MD to deliver medical nutrition therapy for obesity and chronic diseases within a multidisciplinary care model. You will work with NPs, trainers, and behavioral health professionals to provide patient-centered nutrition care.

This role emphasizes clinical outcomes over volume, offering a 4-day work week and opportunities to grow within a leading healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.
• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) - active OR registration eligible.
• Current Maryland Dietitian License (or eligibility to obtain).
• Strong communication and patient engagement skills.
• Passion for working with patients managing obesity and chronic disease.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients with obesity and chronic conditions.
• Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans.
• Provide medical nutrition therapy and ongoing patient counseling.
• Engage patients in behavior change and long-term lifestyle modification.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team (NPs, fitness trainers, behavioral health).
• Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes.
• Educate patients on evidence-based nutrition strategies.
• Support patient adherence through motivational interviewing and coaching techniques.
