Job summary

MedStar Health, in partnership with CoreLife, seeks a part-time Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) in Maryland to treat obesity and related chronic diseases through medical nutrition therapy and collaborative care.

The role focuses on evidence-based nutrition, behavior change, and ongoing patient counseling within a multidisciplinary team, with 1-2 days per week and 10-hour shifts. Easton, MD location, generous benefits and a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.
• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) active or registration-eligible through CDR.
• Current Maryland Dietitian License (or eligibility to obtain).
• Strong communication and patient engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients with obesity and chronic conditions
• Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans
• Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and ongoing patient counseling
• Engage patients in behavior change and long-term lifestyle modification
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team (NPs, fitness trainers, behavioral health)
• Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes
• Educate patients on evidence-based nutrition strategies
• Support patient adherence through motivational interviewing and coaching techniques
