Job summary

MedStar Health, in partnership with CoreLife, seeks a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) in Maryland to join a medical weight loss program focused on obesity and chronic disease. You will work in a multidisciplinary care model with NPs, fitness trainers, and behavioral health specialists to deliver evidence-based nutrition care.

This non-traditional outpatient role emphasizes clinical outcomes over volume, with a 4-day work week (10-hour shifts Mon-Thu) in Lexington Park, MD and a compensation range

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.
• RD/RDN – active or eligible through the CDR.
• Maryland Dietitian license or eligibility to obtain.
• Excellent communication and patient engagement skills.
• Passion for treating obesity and chronic disease.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients with obesity and chronic conditions.
• Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans.
• Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and ongoing patient counseling.
• Engage patients in behavior change and long-term lifestyle modification.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team (NPs, fitness trainers, behavioral health).
• Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes.
• Educate patients on evidence-based nutrition strategies.
• Support patient adherence through motivational interviewing and coaching techniques.
